First Sunday in Advent (APB p 149);
This Advent Sunday marks the beginning of Eucharistic Cycle B.
Almighty Father,
your Son came to us in humility as our saviour
and at the last day he will come again in glory as our judge:
give us grace to turn away from darkness to the light of Christ
that we will be ready to welcome him; who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
