Dear Parishioners and Friends

OPENING OF IN-PERSON WORSHIP ON THE 4 OCTOBER 2020

Greetings in the name of the Lord who continues to sustain and guide us.

The Task Team, which was set up for assessing the readiness for the opening of churches, for in person worship, met on Thursday, the 27 August 2020.

We are happy to be able to share with you that we will be opening the churches for in person worship on Sunday, 04 October 2020.

As we open the doors for in person worship, we ask for your patience and willingness to work together, as we navigate this different approach to offering Church Services.  All COVID 19 protocols will be strictly observed as set out by government and by structures within the Anglican Church of Southern Africa.  These COVID 19 protocols we will be strictly adhered to so as to ensure the health and safety of all parishioners and worshippers, who will be attending Church services.

PROCEDURES FOR IN PERSON WORSHIP

  • The number of people attending church services will be limited, according to the size of the church building (with a maximum of 50 worshippers).
  • Please note if your intention is to attend a church service on a particular Sunday, then you are kindly advised to contact your Chapel Warden by the Friday of that week. (A list of Chapel Wardens and Contact Details is provided in this document)
  • We are requesting that if you will be attending a church service, that you please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the service, so that all COVID 19 protocols such as registration, sanitizing, taking of temperatures can be done timeously before the start of the worship service.
  • Before entering the church building, you will be required to complete a form with your name, identity number, contact details, your temperature will be taken and hands will be sanitized.
  • Please ensure that you are wearing a mask – No Mask No Entry.
  • Seating, which complies with social distancing, is marked off in each of the chapelries.
